Tom Seymour (British, 1844-1904) Antique Oil on canvas, Landscape, Gilt FrameA striking Victorian era landscape by British Artist Tom Seymour, capturing a dramatic waterfall rushing through rocky banks into a calm loch beyond. A striking Victorian-era landscape by British Artist Tom Seymour, capturing a dramatic waterfall rushing through rocky banks into a calm loch beyond. The composition leads the eye from the foaming, fast-moving water in the foreground into misty distance, with wind-shaped trees clinging to the cliffs. The palette leans earthy and atmospheric, with soft light breaking through clouds and reflecting on the water’s surface, giving the scene a classic Highland mood.

📏 Measurements / Medium / Presentation: Oil on canvas. Signed “Tom Seymour” at the lower left. Presented in an ornate gilt frame with beaded liner.

Framed: 29 1/4" x 21 1/2" inches. Canvas: 24" x 16".

🖼️ Condition:

  • Painting: Restored/repaired tear with  conservation work. There is a  backing patch on the verso (clearly visible in your back photo), consistent with repair of a  canvas tear. On the front, the repair presents as a visible restored line/area in the sky under raking light, with retouching associated with the repair. Expected age-related surface wear is present, including light scuffs and handling marks.

  • Back/Verso: Age toning and handling marks; vertical canvas/linen patch applied.

  • Frame: Ornate gilt frame shows wear: rubbed high points, small scuffs, and typical vintage patina.

About the artist: Tom Seymour is commonly listed in the trade/auction record as a British/English painter (1844–1904), best known for atmospheric landscapes, frequently featuring Scottish rivers, lochs, and rugged coastal terrain similar to this scene.

Please note: Actual colors may vary slightly from the photos shown, due to differences in lighting, camera quality, and screen settings. Most items sold by MaksArtGallery are antique, vintage, or pre-owned, and may show signs of age such as patina, craquelure, scuffs, or general wear. These characteristics add authenticity and charm to the artwork. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the item description.

Great, wish it had a manual option
Color: Black
Strong whisk that does the job well! Great volume on froth and easy to use and recharge. Holds a charge well. I use mine about every other day and charge it about once a month. Does not have a stand but I keep it in a drawer. I did wish it had a manual function but the timer seems to get it just right.

Good bag for your buck !
Color: Black
The quality of my foam with this this is amazing! I even use it in stuff that already has ice in it and it breaks up my ice ! The charge lasts awhile . Great value for your money . I’ve bought multiple frothers off amazon and this is the only one that’s held up this long .

Poweful!
Color: Black
Very powerful! I'd gotten too accustomed to my old one with just a single metal spiral roll and so BOY, is this powerful! I'd also gotten accustomed to the on button being just an impulse button and not a solid "ON" so the first time I used it, I had coffee everywhere. I learned quickly to turn it on and then off right away. I do love how is recharges via USB port. Also the directions are helpful because the actual frothing bar was harder to push all the way into the body of it than I'd anticipated.

Foam/froth galore
Style: No Stand, Color: Black
This frother can't be stopped from making froth/foam. It must go 2-3 times faster than my previous one. Easy touseand to clean.
